February 13, 2022 change

I just completed the last entry on the BNC 04HWC list. The final word was trot. There are plenty more words under the headwords in the first 4 lists, not to mention words not on those lists, but if we want more headwords, we'll have to prep #5. There are 14 total BNC lists, so it's not like we're running out. They just become less and less frequently-used terms, follow the criteria of that project. But we've hit another milestone. Yay, us! --Cromwellt|talk|contribs 22:13, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I also just finished the last 3 entries from the Basic English international wordlist. The final word there was hysteria. It might feel like I'm being incredibly productive, but these three words (and the one above) were the last ones left from their respective lists today. I just thought it was silly not to finish them up. Even so, another list complete! --Cromwellt|talk|contribs 00:10, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We've just completed the BNC2000 list of words! Last definition to be completed was "witness".--Brett 19:45, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As below, the completed list is in fact just the second group of 1000 headwords, not the full list of related words referenced above. None of the full lists are complete as of the date of this comment. --Cromwellt|talk|contribs 09:51, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

We've just completed the BNC1000 list of words! Last definition to be completed was "therefore".--TBC 07:24, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Just to clarify, the above statement refers to the headwords from the BNC1 list. The words under those headwords (admittedly a lot more than 1000 words) are still far from complete as of the date of my comment. --Cromwellt|talk|contribs 09:39, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
