  1. The long game is about future outcomes in the long term, rather than immediate results.

  2. In golf, the long game is the part where the ball is hit to cover longer distances, usually to get it closer to the green. The short game involves hitting the ball shorter distances such as to get it on the green near the cup, or into the cup by putting on the green.
