- No, it's clearly a noun. Compare *He stood alone on the long of the tarmac. Here long is obviously wrong, and that's because an adjective can't fit in that slot. The nounlength, however, would be fine.--Brett (talk) 11:48, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
- Ok. I was just thinking that in the example, night was the noun, and then as black is describing the night that it would be an adjective. Once again, your expertise is greatly appreciated! --Gordonrox24 | Talk 15:05, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
