Welcome change

Hello, Mm40, and welcome to the Simple English Wiktionary!

We hope you are happy editing here. Some helpful pages to begin with are Wiktionary:Community Portal, Wiktionary:Useful, Help:Contents, Wiktionary:Rules, and Wiktionary:How to edit.

If you want to talk with other members or ask a question, you can visit Wiktionary:Simple talk. Administrators can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. Just remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing!--TBC 17:58, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Formatting change

Thanks for your help so far. One way in which Simple English Wikt differs from other wikts is that it is monolingual. As such, there is no entry for ==English==. As a result the part of speech tags are a level-2 heading. Also, the inflectional information for them should be included like this:

==Noun==
{{noun}}

I hope this helps.--Brett 20:52, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

How you're doing change

Generally, your edits look fine, but to be honest, I don't spend much time looking at all the various inflected forms (plurals, past tenses, etc). Why don't you try some more more core entries?

I've done a couple of things to unaccented, but the definition itself, along with the example, is a problem. We don't talk about people being unaccented, but about people's speech or foreign language. See the examples here (I'm not sure if that URL will remain valid). I hope that helps you rework it.--Brett 23:39, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
