Welcome change

Hello, Maximillion Pegasus, and welcome to the Simple English Wiktionary!

We hope you are happy editing here. Some helpful pages to begin with are Wiktionary:Community Portal, Wiktionary:Useful, Help:Contents, Wiktionary:Rules, and Wiktionary:How to edit.

If you want to talk with other members or ask a question, you can visit Wiktionary:Simple talk. Administrators can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. Just remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing! Maximillion Pegasus 20:00, 15 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Simple English Wiktionary, from me too! (I see you've already welcomed yourself, but that doesn't stop me!) Coppertwig(talk) 14:47, 17 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
It is always good to be welcomed by another user even if you've already welcomed yourself :) Thanks! :) Maximillion Pegasus 14:53, 17 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Great! By the way, it's fine to put {{verb|water|waters|watered|watered|watering}}, but you can also just put {{verb|water}}. There are also many other ways to use the verb template; see Template:verb. Coppertwig(talk) 21:06, 18 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the tip! :) Maximillion Pegasus 21:09, 18 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Root word pages change

Hi, Maximillion Pegasus!

You might be interested in the discussions at Wiktionary:Simple talk#Priorities and Wiktionary:Simple talk#Word lists. I hope you'll write some pages with definitions of root words, not just pages for inflected forms. Coppertwig(talk) 15:45, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Congratulations, you are now an administrator! I have found your T-shirt (the delivery people had trouble getting over here :P). Don't lose it. ;) Razorflame 17:30, 26 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Patrolling change

Please only patrol pages if they are complete. Please follow these when patrolling pages, as this is the way both me and Tygrrr do it:

  1. Please check the English Wiktionary for any additional parts of speech for the word and for any pronuciations.
  2. Please also check the English Wiktionary for any synonyms, homophones, other spellings, or related words and add them if they are not already on the page.
  3. Please make sure the pages are properly formatted, which includes all of the templates and other such things.
  4. Please make sure they have interwikis.

Please do this when patrolling pages as this is the way that we know when a page is correctly inserted into the Simple English Wiktionary. Thanks, Razorflame 23:53, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree with that in most. But do realize that patrolling is mainly a way of noting that the article is not vandalism. In other words, noting that the article has been created in good faith; fixes and the like can come later. But I do try to keep the points you listed in mind. Thanks for the notice, Regards :) Maximillion Pegasus (talk) 00:00, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I do know that, but when someone marks it as a patrolled page, it gets lost because me and Tygrrr generally stick to the unpatrolled pages to make sure that they are complete entries :). Thanks for understanding :). Patrolling is usually used like that on larger Wikipedias and Wiktionaries, but it isn't really necessary for our small community at this point in time, and it is actually a much better use of the tool to have it be a kind of "reminder" on the articles that still need corrections and the such. Cheers, Razorflame 00:03, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Ah, I see. I will definitely keep that in mind. But, there are users who regularly create articles and know the proper formatting etc. I suggest there edits should be auto patrolled. Your input at simple talk would be helpful. Regards, Maximillion Pegasus (talk) 00:40, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
First, I know that there are some users who know the proper formatting etc., however, most of these users are already administrators, who already have all of their edits autopatrolled. Otherwise, I don't see much use for such a usergroup at this point in time. Razorflame 01:49, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Admin rights change

Hi there Maximillion! As per your inactivity I've proposed to remove your admin status on that project. Please take note of this: Wiktionary:Requests_for_permissions#Requests_for_removal_of_rights. Regards, -Barras talk 16:32, 14 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Since you commented that you don't actually mind the removal and the general agreement of the community, I've just removed your mop and replaced it with Rollback rights. Regards, -Barras talk 10:59, 23 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
