Hello, Jeff G., and welcome to the Simple English Wiktionary!

We hope you will be happy editing here. Some helpful pages to begin with are Wiktionary:Community Portal, Wiktionary:Useful, Help:Contents, Wiktionary:Rules, Wiktionary:How to change a page, and Help:Creating a new entry.

If you want to talk with other members or ask a question, you can visit Wiktionary:Simple talk. Administrators can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. Just remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing!

Images change

Hi, Jeff

No images should be uploaded here. Use the commons, please.--Brett (talk) 12:38, 26 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Brett. I'm sorry, I don't know what specifically you're referring to, but I agree that this project should use images from Commons.   — Jeff G. ツ 04:36, 28 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Quick deletion of Regional Internet registry change

The page you wrote, Regional Internet registry, has been selected for quick deletion. This is because the page was copied from another Wiktionary. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. TeleComNasSprVen (talk) 07:44, 5 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sorry about that, would you please userfy it instead? Thanks!   — Jeff G. ツ 02:11, 14 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, but I do not currently have the ability to view deleted pages. Perhaps you would be better asking the deleting admin barras (talk · changes) to gather the info to userfy it for you, or, if it already exists on the other wiktionary, you can just copy the source material again and bring it into your userspace. Re: Warning vandals change

It's generally assumed here that vandals shouldn't be warned as they supposedly never look at the warnings. Vandals here tend to be one-time. Additionally, I believe Brett tends to delete the pages on sight anyways. Regards, hiàn 15:05, 18 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

It is acceptable to warn logged-in vandals, but not IPs. However, if an IP repeatedly vandalizes on different days, warnings could be warranted (this is very rare). J991 15:20, 18 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Ok, thanks.   — Jeff G. ツ 20:38, 18 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
