@Minorax: Hello, and thank you. Wiktionary is a confusing website to me, but hopefully I will learn to understand it. I will also send you e-mail with private question, be sure to check for that. Naleksuh (talk) 05:21, 23 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Defining style change

Our defining style uses full sentences. Infinitives like "to pick something up" are not used. Second person is embraced and used throughout the site. These style issues are longstanding and the idea is to make the language as comfortable and simple as possible.--Brett (talk) 16:19, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Brett: The disparage says "To ridicule, mock, discredit. " which is not second person nor is it a complete sentence. Not that I am saying you are wrong, but can you explain what is going on here? This wiki does not appear to have Manual Of Style or any other alternative and I am a bit confused.... Naleksuh (talk) 17:50, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Naleksuh: It's no surprise that there are a number of pages that do so. If, however, you take a good sample, I'm very confident that you will see there is a broadly consistent style. You can see this explained in Wiktionary:Entry_layout_explained.--Brett (talk) 18:04, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
