autopatrol
changeCan I have autopatrol? I'm a trusted user on enwiki, simplewiki, commons, and meta. —stay (sic)! 11:05, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- This right is not for people collecting hats (this sentence above sounds like it), it is for people familiar with correct formatting of new articles and those who active create new articles. Otherwise this right is useless. It doesn't matter how trusted you are elsewhere. Get flags you need, not get flags for the seek of getting them. Also requests should be made on the public board rather than here. Best, -Barras (talk) 11:12, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- For someone who is a steward, that's easy to say. You have all the flags you need. —stay (sic)! 11:51, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- Be sure, I use the flags I have, otherwise I voluntary resign. That's what I've always said and do. No activity, no tool. That's the different between people who use a flag they have and those who request flags for the seek of having it. -Barras (talk) 12:07, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- I agree with how Barras stands here. The Simple English Wiktionary is a totally separate project. If you have create enough good entries, please consider requesting for one on the correct page. Hydriz (talk) 12:12, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- Here's my two cents: It's funny that how a lot of Wikimedia projects are run as an oligarchy, those in power refuse to let others have power, and justify it through policies they've written. Request withdrawn. —stay (sic)! 12:19, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- Also funny how people request flags despite not being active in that area. Oh well. PeterSymonds (talk) 12:22, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- Yups, we bad admins... We should all be removed for taking care of a wiki. Create good entries and you surely simply get the flag even without request. -Barras (talk) 12:25, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- Just like me :P Hydriz (talk) 12:29, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

- I know the point is moot now, but I would have been hesitant to give you the flag anyway because you haven't written any entries here. Autopatrol is given out to those who have proven they know how to format/write an entry and don't need to be checked over by another user. You haven't demonstrated that capability. Tempodivalse [talk] 16:24, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- I am sorry, but I see a lack in judgment on A7x's part here. Autopatrol is a tool given to a user to help admins in patrolling, and is not really useful to the user, which is the reason why we only entrust autopatrol to people who know the proper format. There is no need to give the tool to someone who a) has not demonstrated they know the format and b) has no real activity. Regards, Pmlineditor (t · c · l) 17:23, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi!
changeHi user:Pmlineditor, just in case you don't get notified of my reply to your comment on my talk page, I would like to request the ability to delete pages so that I may delete the pages you think are spam... I would also request help on resetting my editor tool bar which has gone missing for a long time. Thanks! --HausaDictionary (talk) 18:52, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
Steward
changeHello Pmlineditor, I've seen that you're a steward on meta, so I'd like to report to you the following information. Some months ago a proxy IP range, 66.160.188.0/24 (AS6939 HURRICANE - Hurricane Electric LLC, US), was blocked because it was used by a long-term abuser who also created a pair of sockpuppets, Myeuurn and Baka Líte, blocked together with the proxy. Less than 2 months ago a wider range was blocked, 66.160.188.0/16 (as 3 more proxies: 64.71.128.0/18, 72.52.64.0/18 and 74.82.0.0/18), because the long-term abuser was continuing his vandalisms from such ranges, but in this case no CU check was made to verify other possible socks. A Spanish checkuser, while checking 66.160.188.0/24 IP range, found out one more sock, Fulgencio Kokomeci (as you can read here), this means that there's at least one more sock to block, but it's probable that there're a few more. I'd like a steward to run a quick check over those 4 blocked proxy IP ranges to control whether or not new sockpuppets were created by the long-term abuser who'd created also Myeuurn and Baka Líte, I hope that you or somebody else could do it, actually I'm surprised that no one has done it yet. Let me know please, thank you. Sraggeb (talk) 10:14, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
- Hi @Sraggeb:, please direct requests to the appropriate page on Meta - here. Regards, Pmlineditor (t · c · l) 10:40, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for replying! Well, this isn't exactly a "request", it's more like a "tip". A steward becomes aware that a certain IP proxy range was used by a long-term abuser to create sockpuppets which have been globally blocked, and that it's possible that other sockpuppets have been created meanwhile: I think it's worth a quick check, also in case there's no relation between the already blocked accounts and the new suspected ones. Don't you think so? I know that some admins, when they suspect that a certain user is a known long-term abuser, check his account without a waiting for requests and if it's positive they block him... Proposed removal of rights
changeHi there. Per the WT:Desysop policy, I have proposed that your rights be procedurally removed under grounds of inactivity. Best regards, Hiàn (talk) 14:34, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
