Hello, Wpeaceout, and welcome to the Simple English Wiktionary!

We hope you will be happy editing here. Some helpful pages to begin with are Wiktionary:Community Portal, Wiktionary:Useful, Help:Contents, Wiktionary:Rules, Wiktionary:How to change a page, and Help:Creating a new entry.

If you want to talk with other members or ask a question, you can visit Wiktionary:Simple talk. Administrators can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. Just remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing! Pmlineditor  09:05, 19 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your contributions change

Hi, Wpeaceout and thanks for your contributions here. I saw that you created certain templates for article quality (such as for GAs and VGAs). However, we do not have any such article classes here, and I believe you should refrain from creating these. I also suggest you read the style guide and create your entries following the guideline, and using enWiktionary as a reference. For example, entries should explain the meaning rather than just giving an example. If you have any questions, feel free to ask at Simple Talk or my talk page. Keep up your good work here. :) Regards, Pmlineditor  09:16, 19 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Also, Wiktionary do not call its pages "articles", but "entries". Hydriz (talk) 09:36, 19 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

RFP change

Hello,

There is a request-for-rollback on the RFP (requests for permissions) page that has been stagnant with no comments or right additions for over four days. If you think I should have rollback visit WT:RFP and scroll to WT:RFP#Requests for rollback. Thanks. Wpeaceout (talk) 08:53, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Okay. I will inform Barras for you. Meanwhile, it would be a good idea to stay connected to our IRC channel. Hydriz (talk) 08:55, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Entry formats change

Hi, I am no expert editor here, but some of your recent edits, like this does not really fit into our entry guidelines. We don't substitute templates into articles. I hope you take note of that. Thanks. Hydriz (talk) 03:41, 25 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Seconding this. For example, your entry for hyper should simply include {{adjective|more=true}}, not the underlying code. If you don't understand, please ask for clarification. Also, don't descriptions like "countable" or "intransitive" if you don't know what they mean. (The first applies to nouns, and the second to verbs, but neither apply to adjectives as you had them.) Finally, don't add pronunciation if you don't know what you're doing. ("HIGH-PER" is certainly not IPA.)--Brett (talk) 20:37, 13 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Checkuser change

Hi there!

I'm not sure if you already noticed, but this wiktionary sticks with only a few admins and uses global sysops. Checkusers aren't needed nor necessary. You should stop taking care too much about unneeded meta discussion pages. We need good quality content. Other things aren't useful for us atm. -Barras (talk) 13:53, 25 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ah, and I've deleted/reverted most of your actions in Template:/Wiktionary: name space... Be more careful in the future. -Barras (talk) 14:11, 25 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your bot change

Hi! Just curious, what is your bot Peacebot (talk · changes) going to do? I noticed it's creating definitions, which isn't something I'd trust an automation with ... Tempodivalse [talk] 21:18, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have blocked the bot as it is unapproved and is doing a task that should have been done manually. Please seek approval for the task and ask for an unblock. Pmlineditor  07:16, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
